Caolan Doherty
Podiatrist
MSK, sports injuries and home visits
I nearly studied biomedical science, but I wanted the science of how the body works and the chance to be with people every day. Podiatry gives me both. I worked in the clinic before I qualified, so I already know the team and many of our patients.
I look at the whole person, not just the injury. I like to get to know you, explain what’s going on in plain terms and build a plan that fits your life.
One of my favourite results was a patient who was paddling every loch in Scotland. Pain on the top of her foot meant she couldn’t carry her kayak up to the water. With laser therapy and a rehab plan, she got back out and finished every loch.
Book with me for sports injuries, foot and ankle pain, nail surgery, medical acupuncture and injection therapy. I also do home visits, and I love getting to know patients who don’t get out much.
I’m from Donegal. Outside work I run, I’ve just taken up cycling, and I love travelling and going to concerts.
I want you to leave feeling listened to, looked after and better than when you came in.
